About the event
Celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day with us! Learn to make beaded friendship bracelets with guest artist Iakowi:he'ne' Oakes, who will bring an array of beautiful beads and her own specialized tools and knowledge. You only need to bring your creativity! Iakowi:he'ne' will share an overview of Native American beadwork, from its origins to the stunning creations of contemporary beadwork artists. Be inspired as you hand-select your own materials and create your own unique beadwork bracelet design to take home or gift to a friend.
